River Trail with Wendy
The days have been long lately, so on this especially long Thursday when Jeff is gone 7-7, we decided to go on an active outing. It was nice to be outside and moving...just what we both needed. The air was crisp and it felt like Fall. The changing colors were just beautiful and all three of us (four including Wendy's dog that kept her company in the Chariot) had a fun time out riding.
Target Wit Mah Gurl
Amongst our errands yesterday we took some time to try on all the cute hats at Target. If only I could pull off this look like Wendy can maybe I would buy one!

Visiting Mr. Cornwall
Wendy and I dropped off some art supplies to Jeff while he was at work, so we took advantage of being there peek in in his class. Wendy was a hit (of course) and loved weaving through the chairs to say hi to students. The teacher (who happened to be Nuri, one of the sweetest humans alive and whom we just adore) was there and showed me the puppet stick figure she had made of Jeff. Too funny! We love visiting our very own Mr. Cornwall!

Chick-Fil-A
We had a fun family home evening tonight at...Chick-Fil-A! We don't go out to eat terribly often but we had a gift card which makes us feel less guilty about going out. It was our first time to this location just around the corner (although we've both had their food before). It was really nice and their food was quite delicious. Wendy got her first kids meal and was a big fan of the fries and was distracted enough by the setting for us to feed her all the grilled chicken that came with it too. It was fun to be there together and have a special night out.
She is learning how to dip her foods and was successful in getting a fry into the sauce. She was not a fan of the sauce though, ha!
Our haul. Man it was all so delicious. We splurged and got an Asian chicken salad, a grilled chicken burger and waffle fries. And Wendy's meal of course.

Evelyn's Birthday Party
Our cute little baby friend (who also happens to be our neighbor) turned one recently so we went to her fun party at the park on Saturday! It was perfect weather and we enjoyed all the festivities of cake and presents before the rain started. Wendy loved helping her play with her new toys and loved the green ball she got as a party favor.

Cousin Play Date
Wendy and I got to spend some time with her cute cousins today. These two are little buddies (just over a year apart) and they are getting to be so cute together.

Treasures at Sprouts
Wendy's undying obsession with dogs continues on our trip to th grocery store. Jeff took the after off from working on thesis and joined us for a grocery run to Sprouts! It was the best (oh the simple pleasures of life, right?) and Wendy loved it. Jeff took her exploring around the store while I filled our basket. When we met up, Wendy was holding two items in her hand. The first: A card she picked out herself with a picture of a...you guessed it...dog wearing a witch hat! The second gem was a calendar of dogs doing yoga. I was tempted to buy it...Wendy and my passions colliding in one great calendar.
The third find was a bin of Colombian dark chocolate! Madison is currently at the MTC in Colombia so they country holds a dear place in my heart.

Wendy and Applesauce
I made applesauce the other day and documented the final product with the help of Wendy. Gosh I love this girl.
